Now, what in the world, is a greasy two by four? Is it a gun? Does anyone know?

Hello Inge,
I hope everything is going well for you. A two-by-four is a length of untrimmed timber with a cross section that measures 2 inches by 4 inches. On the other hand Howlin' wolf recorded a song named 'Forty-Four'.A forty-four is a Magnum revolver.
So good to hear from you. And thanks for the info. I am doing well here in Texas. It’s been terribly hot for a few days — going on 40 C. But things are getting back to normal again.
Unfortunately the 'Southern Soul Forum' closed down a few years ago. Also friggin Yahoo deleted all data.

I’ve got an email from the group telling me Yahoo! would terminate all its groups. I suggested they may look into creating their own forum with proboards. It’s a great platform. I used to be a member of Temptsinfo.com, a forum that used proboards. The message board is not very active anymore. Can’t say that about you, though. You are quite active reading about and listening to music *smiles. I will check the links and post them on SOTS.
