Remembering my sister who passed three years ago on this day. She lived in a world of silence, and I hope her soul now is able to hear the music her ears never allowed her to.
May the angels treat her to the sweetest sounds in heaven!
Marc! How are you? Yeah, that sister could not hear a sound, but she sure could dance to the vibrations she felt. Amazing. I’ve learned so much from her about appreciating the things we have instead of lamenting what we don’t have.
I'm doing well.Catching up on my reading.I have been working my way through a few interesting music books:
'Florida Soul' by John Capouya 'Before Elvis:The Prehistory of Rock 'n' Roll' by Larry Birnbaum 'Stormy Weather:The Music and Lives of a Century of Jazzwoman' by Linda Dahl
Even while I'm holed up, I go outside to take long walks and enjoy nature and the lovely weather.
I am glad you’re doing well, Marc. The only thing I miss during the lockdown is dining out and going shopping at my favorite mall. But it is not really a big deal now that the gardening season is in full swing. Listening to the birds while I tend to my plants feels like returning to the roots of all music ... Sheer beauty! Life is what we make of it. Your readings about music should earn you a PhD, btw. *smiles

Rest In Peace. She is looking down on you with a smile and making sure you are doing ok.
